Food Bank

Hunger is not just a third world problem. On the surface Milton Keynes may appear to be a place of prosperity, but scratch beneath the surface and you will find many people living on the edge of poverty. In fact, recent statistics show that 1 in 5 local children are living below the poverty line and growing up without enough food for healthy development.

The MK Food Bank has been able to help thousands of individuals and families who have experienced a crisis of some type. All it takes is a sudden, unexpected event, such as bereavement, illness, redundancy or theft, to throw people into a genuine crisis. The Food Bank provides local families and individuals with essential food supplies at a time when they need them most.

Volunteers are welcomed to help in the MK Food Bank warehouse at 14 Burners Lane, Kiln Farm, Milton Keynes MK11 3HB.
