Tim’s Prayer Update

November & December

Introduction

As we step into Advent, we enter a season marked by waiting, hope, and expectancy.  It’s a moment to lift our eyes and ask, ‘Who can I open my life to in this season?’ in our neighbourhoods, workplaces, schools, and everyday rhythms.

Advent gives us a natural opportunity to invite others to come and see Jesus for themselves. May we be attentive, prayerful, and ready to extend the welcome.

Kingdom Growth

  • Our Families Team hosted a brilliant Light Party on 31st October, welcoming around 40 families – including six families who were joining us for the first time.

  • We recently ran our ‘Can I Pray for You?’ conference, equipping people to confidently offer prayer and help others encounter God in everyday settings.

  • At Greenleys Community Club, the team prayed for a granddaughter who had been rushed to hospital with a serious illness. God has answered our prayers – she’s now responding really well to treatment. Praise God!

Prayer Points:

  • Pray that the families who joined us as guests at the Light Party would come to know Jesus – and that this Christmas season becomes a meaningful next step in their journey.

  • Pray for everyone who attended the ‘Can I Pray for You?’ conference, that they would carry fresh confidence to step out and pray for the people they meet – especially beyond the four walls of the church.

  • Pray for Greenleys Community Club, that we continue to see stories of answered prayer and real encounters with God as we seek to meet people’s practical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Christmas Services

  • We’ll be holding our very first service at New Bradwell on 14th December. We’re genuinely excited to connect with the community through a simpler, more community-focused gathering than those we’re able to run at Wolverton Mill.

  • We’re also preparing for our Christmas services at Wolverton Mill – both the Carol Services and Christmas Day gatherings. These have been growing year on year, which is a wonderful challenge to have as we consider what to do if they continue to grow at the same pace.

Prayer Points:

  • For Johan, Liesel, and the team as they plan and prepare for the very first service at New Bradwell.

  • For strong engagement from the local community in New Bradwell – that this initial gathering becomes a significant doorway for deeper connection as we move into January and beyond.

  • In the midst of all the organisation our collection of services require, that we don’t lose sight of why we’re doing this, and that each of us finds space to genuinely encounter Jesus.

  • That our church family will be bold in inviting friends, family, neighbours, and colleagues – and that many would meet Jesus through these services.

New Year

  • We’ll begin 2026 with our Crossover Service – an annual moment where we gather to celebrate God’s faithfulness over the past year and seek him for the year ahead. Like our Carol Services, this gathering has been close to capacity in recent years.

  • Just a few days later, we’ll launch our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, running from 5th to 25th January 2026.

Prayer Points:

  • For our church family to be bold in inviting others to the Crossover Service.

  • For many to choose to engage fully with the 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting.

  • That, together, we will hear God’s voice clearly as we begin the new year.

New Locations

  • As we step into January and launch our two locations, please pray especially for New Bradwell as they begin everything from scratch.

  • Pray for the team leaders and teams as they prepare, and for a strong sense of God’s presence as they seek to engage with the local community.

Personal

  • We’re in the middle of looking at schools for Maisie for September, trying to work out what will genuinely be the best environment for her. It’s a big decision, and we’d value your prayers for wisdom.

  • Maggie and Joshua have just spent 12 days in Germany visiting her dad. We’re so grateful – he’s improved so much and is now out of ICU. It meant Maggie and Joshua could finally be on the ward with him and they could have some really precious time together.

  • And on a personal note, with our recent staff appointments in place, I’m now able to shift more of my energy back towards the spiritual life and development of the church. It’s been a real gift to have that space again.

Prayer Points:

  • For wisdom as we try to discern the best school option for Maisie.

  • For Maggie’s dad and his ongoing recovery.

  • For the prayer retreat I have coming up – that I hear God’s voice clearly and come away refreshed in his presence.
